FIRST ENTRY INTO HUAWEI AUTOMOTIVE SUPPLY CHAIN

HUNOVATE’s self-developed complete drive control board set for instant water dispensers
A Hot Cup of Tea, Now in the HUAWEI STELATO G9 Tailgate Kitchen
HUNOVATE’s self-developed complete drive control board set for instant water dispensers (3 boards) has passed HUAWEI’s high-standard technology review and officially entered the HUAWEI STELATO G9 tailgate kitchen kit. From 220V V2L input to five-level water temperature output, the entire chain is handled by our three boards — a real-vehicle landing of HUNOVATE’s twin core competencies: motor drive control and PFC front-end rectification.
220V V2L · 2.2 kW Rated
5-Level Water Temperature
Complete Drive Control Set · 3 Boards
Day-and-night development has finally paid off. HUNOVATE’s self-developed product — the complete drive control board set for the instant water dispenser (3 boards in total) — has entered the HUAWEI STELATO G9 automotive supply chain, crossing a high-standard qualification gate and bringing R&D results to a real vehicle scenario.
Inside the optional tailgate kitchen kit of the HUAWEI STELATO G9, the water-boiling device officially named the instant water dispenser offers five levels of water temperature — convenient for brewing tea or mixing milk powder. No extra power connection is needed: it is powered through the vehicle’s 220V V2L outlet at a rated power of 2.2kW.
The STELATO G9 — Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance’s first tech-luxury hard-core SUV — launched in August 2026 and began first deliveries in September 2026. The tailgate kitchen is an original factory option (integrating the instant water dispenser, a hot/cold shower and an induction cooker), and the full range supports up to 6kW V2L output. Independent media testing confirmed the in-vehicle instant water dispenser offers five temperature levels from ambient to 95°C — tea, milk and warm water, each at its own temperature.
An On-Board Instant Water Dispenser: A “Heat-on-Demand” Water Bar in Your Car
Not a storage kettle, not a thermos — an instant hot water device that heats on demand, litre by litre, second by second.
Three Boards, One Complete Chain: From 220V to a Cup of Hot Water
An instant water dispenser works by “flow-through heating”: water is not stored and boiled in a tank — it is heated to the set temperature the moment it flows through the heating chamber. The chain sounds simple, but in engineering it spans four disciplines: power conversion, power heating, motor drive, and closed-loop temperature control. That is exactly what our three drive control boards cover.
1. Instant vs Storage Heating: Why “Instant” Is a Must in a Vehicle
Traditional water dispensers and kettles work by “boiling a whole tank”, then keep it warm continuously — standby loss adds up day after day; and a large water tank in the boot is neither safe nor practical. Instant heating is flow-through heating: cold water is pumped through the heating chamber, heating power is applied in real time, and the outlet temperature is closed-loop controlled by “flow rate × heating power”. The result: no tank, no standby loss, stable outlet temperature, compact size — a natural fit for vehicle V2L power.
2. The Full Chain: Three Functional Domains of the Drive Control Set
Following the industry-standard architecture of instant water dispensers, the complete drive control set (3 boards) covers power conversion, power heating and motor drive control — from the 220V V2L input to hot water at the set temperature, every step is real power/drive engineering.
Broken down, this chain has three engineering challenges — the hard skills customers really care about:
Challenge 1: Use every watt of 2.2kW wisely on a vehicle V2L outlet
At 2.2kW, the load is far above the IEC 61000-3-2 harmonic threshold that makes an active PFC front end effectively mandatory (>75W), and vehicle inverters plus 10A socket ratings are even more current-sensitive — so the front end must do high-power-factor rectification: low harmonics, no wasted vehicle battery energy, no pollution of the vehicle power network. HUNOVATE has long-term single-phase PFC design expertise, exemplified by our in-house HPS3K3-380 3.3kW bidirectional SiC digital PFC module; a 2.2kW high-power-factor front end is this capability applied to vehicle appliances.
Challenge 2: “What you set is what you get” for water temperature
Five temperature levels are driven by a “pump flow × heating power” linkage: flow is precisely controlled by motor drive, heating power is adjusted in real time by power devices, and the closed-loop temperature control keeps the outlet temperature stable no matter the water pressure or input voltage fluctuation.
Challenge 3: Reliability in a vehicle environment
Vibration, high/low temperature, EMI, supply dips — every board is designed, tested and validated to automotive-grade standards. That is what “crossing HUAWEI’s high-standard gate” means.
The HUAWEI STELATO G9 “Tailgate Kitchen” Is Reaching More Families
“Eat well, anywhere” — in the official tailgate kitchen demo video released by the STELATO Automobile account (September 2026), the instant water dispenser is one of the core appliances of this on-board kitchen.
From the R&D Bench to the Vehicle: Every Board Is Verified the Hard Way
An instant water dispenser is a system where power and water flow are tightly coupled, so our development process validates “water circuit + electrical circuit” together: power analyzer measurements, long-duration water-loop aging, and step-by-step power-on/off and protection rehearsals.
Why Did HUAWEI Hand Us This “Water-Heating Board”?
Because drive control for an instant water dispenser sits exactly on the two hardest capability lines of a Chinese appliance-control supplier — motor drive control, and PFC front-end rectification.
We design and mass-produce a 3.3kW bidirectional SiC digital PFC module (HPS3K3-380, peak efficiency at 99% level, PF≥0.99) — single-phase PFC is a field we have cultivated for years. A 2.2kW-class high-power-factor front end is this capability applied to vehicle appliances: high power factor, low harmonics and a stable DC bus on V2L power — every watt of the vehicle’s energy used well.
Five temperature levels are essentially a “flow × power” closed loop: pump motor drive precision directly decides outlet temperature stability. Our accumulated expertise in home-appliance motor drive control makes the water temperature “what you set is what you get” — for tea, milk and warm water alike.
From power-stage design and protection logic (dry-run, over-temperature, water-shortage) to vehicle vibration/temperature/EMC validation and a full-system test framework — the complete drive control set passed the customer’s high-standard review and landed in a real vehicle.
Let’s Do the Math: What This “Water-Heating Board” Saves the Customer
Engineers and buyers care about more than “does it work” — they care about what it saves and earns. Three numbers say it clearly.

Who We Are: One “Electronic Control” Main Line, Two Core Product Lines
HUNOVATE (www.hunovate.com) focuses on electronic control system R&D and manufacturing, covering two major fields — both open to OEM/ODM customization.
Drive control boards for home-appliance and vehicle electronics, covering pumps, fans and compressors, with precise speed control and closed-loop control — the water pump drive of the instant dispenser is one example.
Products such as the HPS3K3-380 3.3kW bidirectional SiC digital PFC module for energy storage, data center, industrial and vehicle power applications: high efficiency, high PF, low THD, with PMBus telemetry and remote programming.
The Three Questions Engineers and Buyers Ask Most
The complete drive control set is powered through the vehicle’s 220V V2L outlet at 2.2kW rated power. The front end uses a high-power-factor PFC rectifier (industry-standard practice under IEC 61000-3-2 harmonic limits), feeding a stable DC bus for the heater and water pump.
No. HUNOVATE specializes in electronic control OEM/ODM with two core lines — motor drive control and PFC front-end rectifier power modules (e.g., the HPS3K3-380 3.3kW bidirectional SiC digital PFC) — reusable across vehicle kitchen appliances, RV appliances, portable energy storage appliances and commercial water boilers.
